Can anybody tell me how to care for my tree frog??I NEED HELP!!!

i just raised a asian greenback tree frog from tadpole now its a frog with a small tail by tomorrow the tails disappears!
there are the pictures i manage to take shot is my habitat correct i cant buy or find any substrate or any unfertilized garden soil so i used aquarium gravel.
1st and 3rd picture shows the habitat the 2nd one shows the frog.
so can i feed them baby guppies or woodlice will they eat reptomin amphibian sticks or any pellets or should i give them baby guppies woodlice and mealworms??and also will they eat tubiflex worms and also will they eat vegetables?
i cant buy any flightless fruitflies or pinhead crickets in our country i want to care for that frog anyone tell me any details and also answer my diet and setup. k thnx

Those aquarium gravel is a true death sentence for a frog because when eating off the floor they could swallow a little rock by accident. You are better off using a moistened clean towel for now until you can find some fiber, dirt, or think easily digested substrate that will not hurt the frog if he by accident eats it. Plus. the rocks are very tough on the skin and could hurt him. Please make sure there is tons for the frog to climb and adventure around. Tree frogs love to climb! What I did with my pets is I found strong tree branches outside that were not rotting and I boiled them for an 40min in hot water to kill all the germs and bugs off them. Try this!

Make sure to dust your food with calcium (crushed up tums incase you can't find any). but I am not sure about what to feed a tree frog. I'm sorry. tubiflex worms are for turtles and fish. I would recommend not feeding them this product. I don't know the nutritional facts of a woodlice but it looks like a potato bug we have here. Woodlice and Mealworms have a hard outside shell so they may cause compaction if that is all you are feeding this frog. Do you have any available caterpillars? Like the horn worm or the silk worm?

I personally know nothing about this kind of frog but I did find a care sheet for it:

And if you're having trouble finding substrate for your frog you could try ebay or other online sites. I definitely agree that gravel is a big no no. Feeding fish is okay as a treat but they are high in fat. You may also be able to order live food online but there may be stricter import laws (not sure?). A good option might be earthworms. They don't have a hard shell that can cause impaction and they're more nutritious than many other feeders.

nope all i got is mealworm but why wont he eat he was cared since a tadpole he just had a tiny tail but it wont eat why is this normal??

I do not know how to feed a tadpole to adulthood. I know how to feed an adult only. Use feeding tongs/chop sticks/two pieces of wood sticks and wiggle worm. Make sure the mealworm is not coated with the oatmeal that the mealworms usually come in. See. Dinner Time! - YouTube

its just so weird he did eat a pillbug yesterday and now he was sucking daphnia with his skin and absorbing it i saw it and he is so fat is this normal he sucks daphnia with his skin now i gave him a daphnia he seems trying to hunt it but i think he is still full?? and also i tried the towel in my other frogs i just dont know why it is running from the towel it clings to the glass and tries to escape out of its cage but the frog in the photo(up) he's the one im talking about the daphnia he absorbs is it normal??

Do you mean he's sitting in water full of daphnia? I'm confused. They cannot eat by absorbing through their skin. He's probably just soaking in his water?

yup he is sitting in the water full of daphnia he is absorbing them in his skin i saw it in his skin and also he is so shy eating his food i gave him another pill bug and after 30mins was still there then after 2 hours its gone so i think it ate it he is also so shy i just dont know why is it normal for frog like this? he refuses mealworm , he only wants pill bugs and some frozen bloodworms as suggested on the care sheet given by herpderp. is it normal for frog like this and also why is it that daphnia goes into his skin?? is he eating it??

Do not use fish gravel, it is dangerous if they eat it! Mine have pebbles and eco peat moss for reptiles they like to sit on. They also have a large piece of driftwood, tree house, small clay pot to hide in, plants, and a few smooth rocks to climb on. I feed them crickets, mealworms, wax worms. They need live food or else they don't eat. Mine also are in a slightly humid environment and I was going to offer guppies but am leary they could become sick if fish is sick. I hope for your frogs you get an aquarium with a lid and similar items to furnish inside your tank. I made mine as natural an environment as I could, but take out your gravel because they are at great risk!

im just scared that it may runaway i almost lost him when i cleaned his tank he is eating pillbugs should i really have aquarium what gravel do i use???wont they escape

Yes, they need to be in an aquarium with room to jump and swim, not all boxed up, that is cruel. Do not use fish gravel, use smooth pebbles (too big for them to eat) or eco earth reptile substrate, they even like sand but I don't use that, too easy to ingest and hard to clean when you rinse out tank. Please get them an aquarium, they aren't expensive. I got my screened lid at petco and I also have a small heater in my water. They like land and water both. Mine eat crickets and worms. Yes they will escape without a lid. Have you ever had reptiles before or is this a first pet? Write if you have more questions, just please get them out of those boxes, they deserve a natural safe setting, like a glass tank. Thanks

Are you the one that had pictures of frogs in plastic boxes? Ok, if so, then you have them in a tank, now does the tank have a lid? Do you have water for them? If not, get 2 smooth rocks about 3" around, add them with dechlorinated water and in this case about 2" or so of water. Get a live plant, and substrate of eco earth moss you add water to and I do this, dry mine, add to one end of tank. They need land plus water. They like being in water.

Good, if you do this your frogs will be much happier. Can you get them a larger tank? Mine also have a submerisble heater, its small, $15. If you can't buy a lid, get bendable screen (its cheaper) because you can't let frogs escape!!! Also, don't handle these if they are fire bellies: they are slightly toxic but their skin is sensitive to human oils. If they are another type of frog, don't pick them up unless you know you can do it gently! These animals are just as scared to humans as stray animals.We are giants to them and a hand picking them up is a huge threat to them. Let me know if I have helped you so far and your progress. I am happier knowing you made these changes, please add dechlorinated water, smooth rocks, plant. Put live food on dry land and they will find it. You can even cover part of your tank with saran wrap leaving area for air to get in. This is if you have them where it might be too cold, mine like the humidity. By cover, I take piece of saran wrap, fold it to size of top of tank, lay it on top leaving at least 3 or 4" where air can get in. I have a larger tank than yours but you can still do this. Also, good thing you have 2 frogs! They like being together, mine do, I always buy pets beginning with a pair. I have 5 hermits together and they share everything, even shells and their group conversations at night. My frogs eat together and apparently they don't argue. Did you buy yours at a pet store? I woke up finally, see you have tree frogs? They probably like LESS water than my fire bellies but like warmth. I'd give them a branch or driftwood with real or fabric leaf plant to hide in. actually i have 3 more frogs but still tadpole with legs and not ready to exit the water. and also does these baby frogs eat tubiflex worm i place some in their tank and it was gone did they eat it?? i think they like rolly pollies. will they eat some frozen bloodworms and tubiflex worms in these size of frog??(the one in the pic)they also had lids

2 frogs in 5 gallons also will they eat the live tubifex worms??or fish pls tell meT_T i will have a bigger one soon
