    you can make rocks out of insulating construction foam, or you can carve them out of great stuff and the attach them to the glass using silicone. alternatively, if you ant to spend a few bucks and don't want to get your hands dirty, you could buy rocks here: Vivarium Works
    as far as the water all, you would want smaller holes at the beginning of the run, with slightly larger holes at the end. that will keep enough pressure to have water trickle down the background. now, you are probably asking yourself out loud "what size holes?" well, short of it is going to take experimentation. start with heating the head of a pin, then poking the tubing. then test. if the holes are too small, go with a nail, and so on and so on.
