i heard that to have your whites to turn green you need either higher temps and lower humity or the other way around i dont remeber, but i also hears it has to do with the color of the background. I cant seem to find a staright anwser so will some one help me out
thanks, Chubb Chubb
Mine change colour dependng on their background. ie when they're sitting on the bark-effect background in the terrarium, they tun brown. Whereas they turn green if sitting on their plants/vines![]()
Same here. Its a light and dark background thing, as it is will a lot of frog species.
Ok thank you both
so chubb chubb is green now he was sleepin on a leaf and i when i got home i notice he was green thanks kurt for the advice
and katie
You're welcome.
You're welcomeChubb Chubb is a cute name for a frog by the way!
My White's has always been brown, but yesterday I got him a new red bulb (50w) and this morning he was green! The first time I've sen him green since I first got him, so I think temperature may have something to do with it too. I've also recently moved him to a warmer, lighter room.
haha thanks katie the name just pooped right into my head oneday last year and i loved it
well then im goin to have to put a red light on him but since last night hes been green
but i have notice since i got him at night he would turn green but during the day he would be brown
I'm stumped then since mine is reversed to that.
i guess that what makes them different
During the day, one of my White's is always brown, but after dark they are both green. Its the opposite of my red-eyes, who darken after lights off.
yeah i just got done feeding chubb chubb and he looks like lime
yeah i did sorry about that![]()
Nothing to apolgize about. I thought it was cute and funny. We have all made typos at one time or another, and sometimes they can be funny. This was one of those times. So thanks for making a "funny".![]()
