I normally use rain water for my frogs, however it hasn't rained for ages and I have now ran out
The water needs changing but I have nothing to replace it with. I noticed on the side of the box of my water filter it says it reduces chlorine and heavy metals such as Copper, Lead etc.
Is this water safe to use for my frogs?
I think it still contains chlorine and heavy metals because it only says it reduces them. Perhaps if I filtered the water a few times it would be ok.
Any thoughts?
I wouldn't risk it. You don't like using the dechlorinating drops? I heard you can use bottled spring water too. I guess you could filter it and take a sample to get tested...
I haven't found anywhere that sells dechlorinating stuff.
How would I test it for chlorine and heavy metals?
Thanks
if it's a water filter for drinking water, don't use it if your water is chlorinated. safest to just use bottled water if you have it available to you. any pet store that sells fish will have a dechlorinator for fish. you can use that in a pinch, or all the time for that matter.

Hmmm...That sucks. I don't suppose there is anywhere that sells water testing kits? If not the only other thing I can think of is bottled spring water. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Hopefully someone will have more answers.
