If you go with a standard 55, you could easily house 2 or 3. Remember that they get large for a tree frog. Start up costs vary. Depends on how elaborate you want to make their home. My 125 gallon paludarium cost me roughly $200 in supplies and about another $100 in plants. That's not counting the cost of stuff i already had like the tank and filter and lighting and such.

I think getting some a type of Dart frog that is really bold might define what you're asking for, you just can't handle them because they're so fragile. There are so many options though, thing is, if you want to have something thats active and fun to watch I'd lean towards getting some diurnal (active in the day).

I really like my tomato frogs, but they're nocturnal. They tend to spend the whole day buried, but they do come out every other night and they are definitely fun to watch. I have three of them, check them out.

They're really fun to feed and watch eat, they inhale their food faster than my pacs do. They just aren't active during the day and some nights you won't see them either. When they are babies will you will see them every night and sometimes during the day.
