    Default Another Newbie

Hi lads. Just got 4 dumpys about a week now. Just thought I join this forum for your advice if anything goes wrong and to check out some different enclosure types etc. Question I'm already wondering about is if dumpy is croaking does that automatically mean he is old enough to mate?

Good question, but unfortunately I don't know the answer to it. I would assume that is the case.

How big are your dumpys? I have a male that croaked at 1.75" - 2.00" long. He was young when I got him and he was already croaking, but I'm not so sure he was at mating age. He's not a year old yet, but close.

Welcome to the forum. In my experience most frog species' males can croak a few months before they'll actually be able to mate.

Where in Ireland are you? I'm from Dublin.

They are only about 1.5 inches. 2 of them croak. Don't really want them to breed...3000 egss??

From dublin but I'll be moving to Kildare soon.

There's a lot more to breeding White's Tree Frogs than putting males with females, so it's unlikely you'll breed them by accident.

    Enjoy Kildare!
