Picture update on my super expanding Ornate

When I picked this little guy up on the 17th (s)he and his/her siblings weren't even on the sales floor yet. They had just got them in that day and I had to go in the back room to see them. I picked the biggest one, who at maybe a week old was already 20% bigger than the relatives, but still barely larger than a quarter.


Yesterday was the 2 week mark and he or she has probably tripled or more in overall size. I hope this growth rate keeps up



3 inches already. That's 2 inches growth in 2 Weeks!

Looks good Graham. Should begin to fill out more as he/she grows too.

EDIT; at that size if its a male then it should being to start trying to call. You could play some Pacman calls off of YouTube and if male he should respond or at least attempt to Lol! They sou d like a teenager going through puberty when they first begin to call

Thanks everyone. Im hoping for a Female, and so far have heard no calls. But id still be happy with a male. Ill try playing some frog calls off the net as Grif suggested.

beautiful frog, I'm pretty sure you are getting the prettiest ones in Calgary I'd like to get similar too, I'm missing some green color among my pacs, but so far I'm not sharing my "want list" with my family so they won't freak out too much :lol:

Lol Ive had some luck for sure with the last few frogs Ive bought. With this one, I got to JJs and the guy (Jay?) was on the phone for a loooong time so I casually asked the other guy working there when they would be getting Ornates in again. He said they had just got them in like an hour ago lol. So I ended up getting first pick of the "litter" even though I had just gone there to get Hornworms haha.
