As an experienced frog owner I know you have thought of this as well, but keeping them together will also mean sterilizing the tank at least twice as often, which I personally wouldnt want to do. Sure it means cleaning two tanks instead of one, but there is just something about disturbing their home every second week that feels wrong to me.
