Hi, to anyone with FBT's I have some questions: I can't locate a store that sells live moss so I am using eco earth fiber substrate. I have read conflicting stories about whether or not this substrate is ok for FB's. I know they can swallow small gravel by accident which is why I have smooth pebbles larger than gravel. I won't put any sand in their tank. I have the eco earth as part of their land. Their other land areas are driftwood and treehouse that are not under water. They also have a pebble shore with eco earth as part of that. So, is eco earth fiber a safe alternative to moss? Does anyone know where I can get live moss? Any other tips for making land in my aquarium? Thanks for reading my post.
ebay. just type java moss
I can do that except I'd like the moss sooner, thanks for letting me know.
Live Tropical Moss if you want it sooner, break out the yellow pages and start calling every garden center within about a hundred miles or so....lol seriously though, a pet store that is planted tank friendly will have java moss. i use coco fiber in my vivs. sometimes eco-earth, sometimes a brand made for hydroponics. all depends on the viv, the location of where the moss is going, ect. occasionally, you can find flower shops that have live mosses. good luck in your search![]()

oh, you can also check out aquabid.com. there are quite a few sellers on there from the U.S. so shipping wouldn't take long at all.

Oh thank you, that is a kind offer. What I might try first is calling stores to see if anyone sells moss. I can write later and let you know, right now I have alot going on and frogs are happy. I still have a large amount of eco earth fiber. We are going to have bad weather the next 3 days, I am not sure if I'm even going to any stores for a while, but I can call around.
