Default red tree frog very ill, need help ASAP!

    Hello all,
I got a red eyed about a month ago and things seemed to be find until about 2 weeks ago when he had some kind of black mark right above his eye, close to his face. it was small so i thought it would go away and be ok. he had been eating fine and was kind of active at night. but the black spot got bigger and spread around his nose and his eyes. it seems to be irritated by it sometimes. i have cleaned the cage very well and made sure nothing was moldy. he is not climbing to the top of the cage like he used too, instead he stays at the bottom of the cage or on the water dish. i want to do what ever i can to help him. i also went to the pet store and they said they think its a burn, where his skin is actually missing, but i don't know what to believe. please someone help me out ASAP!

i also have some photos as well.

It looks like fungus to me. Either way, he needs treatment. I would recommend a vet visit soon for antibiotics and ssd cream to apply to all of the discolored areas. It treats both bacteria & fungus and will heal any burns if that is what they are.

    Please keep us posted.

It depends on the vet. He will also need systemic antibiotics, usually in topical drops or soaks. Most vets will require an exam.

I would suggest a hospital tank with clean, damp paper towels (treated or spring water)
Clean water dish. Clean everything daily. Broad leafed plant?
Follow Heather's advice. You definitly need treatment for your frog.
