Default Would this be an adequate setup?

I've been keeping my baby pixie frog in a 20 gallon nursery pot with about 2 inches of eco earth, a water dish and a fake plant, plus I mist it multiple times a day.
The room it's in stays around 80 degrees because I also use it for keeping crickets and a few indoor plants.

In about 2 days I'll be moving my pixie to his/her permanent tank, so my question is, could I use this as a super simple setup for a few (2-3) tomato frogs, granted I use a smaller water dish and perhaps use something to hold in humidity?

    The picture is the setup.

    Thank you

I don't really see why not, as long as you have appropriate lighting for them. Would you plan on keeping them in this permanently? There are other cheap methods of keeping frogs, such as clear plastic tubs, stuff like that. That way you can atleast see your animal without looking in through the top. Tomato frogs are fun to watch, especially when they eat.

I've already got like 6 of these pots just sitting in that room, waiting for spring so I can plant my tomatoes.
Yeah, it would likely be permanent. What type of lighting do they need?
And I probably spend a few hours just sitting in that room each day taking care of my plants and cleaning/adjusting the crickets tank, so I'd definitely get to watch them
Plus, that room has zero traffic except from me. The rest of the apartment is occupied by my fiancee and two dogs. So I think it's be less stressful for them in there.

You'd just need to give them some sort of "daylight bulb" I've heard UVB makes them more vibrant as far as colors go, but I don't know from experience. They don't necessarily need it but they do need a day and night cycle. I don't have a light on my frogs but they are in a 20 gallon long and they get daylight from the windows in my room. I'm probably going to buy some sort of LED light strip or something along those lines for them since winters coming and it will probably be quite dark in the room during that part of the year.

Just a tip if you do decide to change them to a tank, Petco has a really good deal on aquariums twice a year, 1 dollar a gallon. I bought my 20 gallon long for $20 which is a great deal. When the sale comes around again I'm probably going to buy a 40 gallon breeder and a 55 gallon for about $100 total, which is an awesome deal. Just letting you know.

But yah I think that the 20 gallon pot with some lighting would be fine unless you end up with 2-3 females which get 4" inches or so, then you might want to consider a bigger home.

Ah okay, well I've got that.
And my plants in that room are on an automatic day/night timer, so the frogs would definitely get a proper cycle.

    I've heard about that sale!
Unfortunately, the closest petco is nearly 300 miles away. I ENVY everyone who lives close to one for that reason. It's too bad they can't ship them for that price.

I think the most I would get is 2, and that probably won't be for some time.

Ahhh, that's crazy, no petco's within 300 miles?! What a shame. Yeah, unfortunately it's an in-store sale only..

2 frogs should be fine in that pot especially since the daylight timers going already.
