Getting my frog today!!

I'm so excited!
I'll be getting my frog today!
The pet store is about a 45 minute drive away, so I'll just be sitting here impatiently until they open at 12pm. Ugh!!

I'll be posting pictures when I bring him/her home

Haha had to wait up for my ol' man to get ready, then we got lost, and then we stopped for ice cream on the way home.
So HERE are the pictures! Isn't s/he pretty?
Not scared of me at all, either.


That little critter keeper is what s/he came home in, and I'm still waiting for substrate divider to come in for the 40 gal tank, so for now, I'm keeping him/her in a 20 gallon nursery pot set up as a temporary home. Right now he/shes about the size of an American quarter. I had one on the white backdrop for reference, but the frog didn't seem to want to pose next to it, so I just had to try n shoot while it was moving around.

Thanks it's a feisty thing.
Looking like a giant right? Not a dwarf? I'm so paranoid about that haha.
And not blaming him he just sleeps longer than I do lol


Also, is it normal for these guys to reject food with calcium/d3 powder on it?
I've been popping him/her crickets since the drive home, and when we got here and I gave him a couple more. The last one I coated with cal/d3 and when s/he got a lick of it, s/he spat out the cricket and rubbed the powder off his/her tongue with its little feet.

Yeah, it's coloring is pretty dark.
There were two others, and one was very light but a lot smaller.

The main way to tell if its a dwarf or a giant is the stripes. One stripe down the middle is a dwarf. 3 stripes (one down the middle and 2 on the sides) is a giant.

s/he's got one in the middle, and two much wider ones down the sides.
I just remember reading someone on here said that the giants DON'T have the white spot on the ear? Or maybe I misunderstood.
