I have seen the warm bath temperature mentioned on this forum many times as being 80 degrees and not to go over. I believe this is a common misconception. Bare in mind a typical Pacman frog tank is 80 or slightly higher, and the water bowl thats already in the tank will have equalized to the temp in the tank. So for some, a 79 to 80 degree bath is actually a slightly cold bath. Remember, a standard swimming pool temp is around 86 and that feels fairly cool to the touch.
I took this into practice with my toad who hadnt had a bowel movement in a few days. She wasnt impacted but I could see she was uncomfortable. I put her in a bath nearing 90 degrees which sounds hot but it isnt. Its lukewarm and safe. She started flowing almost emmediately and stayed in the bath for quite a while.
