I posted on my local craigslist that I'm looking for a Giant Pixie.
I heard back from a girl and she sent me this picture and asked me to take the baby as well.
While I have nothing against Dwarves (they are adorable!), I only have one tank, and I would like to save it for my future giant.
The below picture is of the frog she's like me to take, named Mankey, along with another baby.
It looks like a Dwarf (female?) to me. Hoping ya'll can give me some opinions.
Thanks!

100% Dwarf, looks too young to sex yet, but head is quote wide and big to be a female, I'd say possibly male.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I agree that it's a dwarf and could be a male.
Thanks guys.
Guess I'll hold off for now.

It's a dwarf. Looks just like my little "monster"One of the key characteristics of dwarfs is a white spot in the tympanum (eardrum).
I love this species a lot. I just don't like people who pass them off as giants.

Okay, so a pet store about an hour away from where I live is saying that they're selling baby giants.
Reptiles for Sale in Foley AL - Pet Station USA
That is a link to the section of their webpage with pictures of their resident giant male pixie, along with 2 shots of the babies they are selling.
The baby in the pics looks like a dwarf to me, but I have been in email communication with one of the owners, and she says that the babies are 100% Giants and not at all P. edulis. I've shown her evidence which I think proves that they are dwarves, but she isn't budging.
It's over 40 miles away, so I don't want to drive there for nothing. She said she would send me an above picture in about an hour, but I'm kind of doubting that she will go through with it. Could someone give me some input? Does the baby look like a Giant to you?
Help!![]()
The owner just sent me a picture of one of the babies.
so, not a dwarf![]()
hm... that last pic looks like giant, It would be nice to have a few different more clear shots, but on the website the last 2 pic- edulis. I would drive here anyway, who can resist pretext to go to reptile store
