Baby gray tree frogs?
Very cute! I'm with Sherry, I think they are baby gray tree frogs.

It's likely a juvenile Gray Treefrog. Both the Eastern Gray Treefrog, Hyla versicolor, and Cope's Gray Treefrog, Hyla chrysoscelis, are in Illinois (according to IL Herpetology Species List | Illinois Natural History Survey | U of I). Care sheet: Frog Forum - Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding but don't feel you have to take them in, they'll be fine on their own outside even this late in the year.
I believe the Bird-voiced Treefrog, Hyla avivoca, is also possible from your pictures and location. They lack the yellow/orange flash colours that are found on the inside of the hind legs of a Gray, though I'm not sure how early in their development this colouring difference turns up.
I have to take him in just like a crackhead needs his rocks![]()
