In general no, but it depends on the frog. There are exceptions with varying degrees of saltwater tolerance.

Any reason you'd want a frog in with saltwater?

Or do you mean a "recycled" salt water tank? As long as you clean it out thoroughly, then yes.

Yea i mean i wanna use one. But I don't plan on using any water in it, other than the waterfall/bowl that i built. And i plan on cleaning it really good if i get it. I was just wondering because my friend has a 40 gal. hex saltwater tank that he said he'll give me. Just wanna make sure i can use it first lol.

Yup, you'll be ok. There's no difference between a salt water or fresh water tank when they are empty. A tank is a tank as far as that goes. There are "reef ready" tanks, they they are just a standard tank with built in overflows, nothing more.

Yea, no problems in that case. A free tank is the best kind.

Do you have occupants in mind?
