Foam for my next FBT Tank Setup

nope, no leaks. it's only a few months old. swapping my daughter's hermit crabs that were in it for turtles in my 20L paludarium. how i lost my palu, i have no idea, but my little girl wants a planted turtle tank and that's what she gets....lol give me a day or so to clean it out. the hermit crabs may go into the 125, ya never know...lol

Just going to piggy back on your thread here... I cannot find great stuff anywhere in the country, and shipping from the US is not cheap... Of the two foam fillers listed at the bottom of this web page, would either be any good? Fillers for Home Improvements and Renovations from Selleys | Selleys New Zealand

sorry Disco i personally cant help u out with that this is my first attempt at using foam, maybe Bill can help u out...oh he jumped off. Well if i get some good advice ill help u out asap

Sorry Jay, I didn't see your question before I left to go to the store. (I went to go get some supplies for the tank) The silicone will waterproof the foam, but I think the foam is already waterproof. The silicone and moss/coco fiber etc. is just to make it look nice. Just make sure you give everything plenty of time to cure.

Hello Disco! I looked at the website you posted and it looks like the Selleys 'No More Big Gaps' is the same as the 'Great Stuff' foam filler we use here. I am not 100% so I will wait for someone more knowledgeable to chime in.

Sherry is correct......the no more big gaps is the one you want. While it may be tempting to use the other one since it cleans up with soap and water, i would shy away from it. Something about the phrase "compressible foam" puts me off. I didn't know k-mart and true value had stores in kiwi-ville!!....lol
