Hi all-
I got my first White's tree frog a week ago at a reptile show in Jacksonville, FL and am pretty worried about her already. When I bought her she had a very small lump behind the eye, but it was barely noticeable and I assumed it was simply part of the frog's fat stores. The lump grew, however, and today is the first day I would say it looks serious. As you can see in the picture, the lump now extends down between the back legs and is pretty raised. Does anyone have any ideas about what this may be? I was thinking bacterial infection/bloat, or some kind of worm...her immune system may be down after the stress of the reptile show and a new owner.
Any thoughts are GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Lindsay
Oh wow Lindsay, i'm sorry this happened to your frog. I would get it to a vet ASAP! Especially since it's gotten bigger. I've never seen anything like this before on a frog but it looks like some sort of abscess.
