    Exclamation Just to be safe?

I'm planning on getting a Green Tree Frog this afternoon and I need to make sure that it is perfectly okay if I place him/her in with my female Gray/Grey Tree Frog. Would this be fine to do? Thank you.

What I would do (and in fact did do) is put the Green Tree Frog (I'm assuming Hyla cinerea?) in a vivarium it can call it's own. Mine will stay that way unless I get to the point where I can build a vivarium in the 300+ gallon range. I have heard of people successfully keeping these species together for years, but unless the tank is large enough for me to comfortably spend an afternoon in, I can't see why I'd bother. Even then, if I was in a position for two 300+ gallon vivs, they'd each get their own.

Even if you do plan on mixing them, a 30 day or even 60 day quarantine period is really mandatory if you want to protect the health of your existing frog. Especially considering that a H. cinerea is most likely wild caught.

Thank you very much but since I don't have enough money to buy a whole new virarium at this point I will do the 30-60 day period for the new one to be alone in a small small tank that I wouldnt want him/her to live in forever. Plus my female gray has been very lonely since my other gray left so I hope that I can soon put them together!

You can always wait until you can afford and have a permanent vivarium setup before getting a new frog. There are often cheap tanks going through craigslist or kijiji if you're patient. Is there any reason you need to pick up a new frog today?

Your frog being lonely isn't something you need to worry about. They're perfectly fine by themselves. This shouldn't be a factor in getting a new frog.
