    Default Hi from Idaho!!

Hello all!! I stumbled on this forum while searching for information on the best way to set up my whites habitat. Love all the information I am finding here!! I am owned by a ton of critters. Lets see.....I have 5 dachshunds, 6 cats, a rabbit, 10 birds ranging from little finches up to a pionus, 2 turtles (1 RES and one sideneck), 2 whites tree frogs, 4 fire belly toads, 3 fire belly newts, a leopard gecko, 3 saltwater fish tanks (28g, 50g, 75g), 2 freshie tanks, a fish pond out back, and a stray cat I have been feeding for 9 years now. Phew!!! Not to mention I work full time AND help take care of my mother in law who lives next door and has dementia. Needless to say, my life is full, but there is always room for a rescue when I come across one.

I can't wait to spend some time looking around the forum to learn from everyone's experiences!!!

Wow.. That is quite the handful of pets, especially the 5 dachshunds and 6 cats. Are those all indoor? Birds are awesome, I used to have a lot of finches, a cockatoo, and a green amazon. The amazon bit my ear as a little kid, that didn't feel very good, lol. Anyways welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll fit right in.

The doxies are definitely indoor, the cats have the ability to go outside in an 8x8 enclosure I built for them just outside my office (I work from home). It was the frame from an old gazebo that lost it's top in one of our many wind storms. I secured it to the house and covered it completely in chicken wire. The put a 'cat' door in the wall, some logs for scratching, an old cat tree that I had in my office that was replaced with a newer fancier one and various other fun things for them. The just love hanging around out there watching the hundreds of birds that frequent my feeders. Everyone is safe and happy that way!!!

Hey Terry, I forgot about my other little frog who I believe is a dwarf (I hope!) African clawed frog. Tad came in a Grow-a-frog kit and it wasn't until I did some digging online I discovered he was an ACF. Hoping he is a dwarf so I can keep him in his current enclosure, but I certainly have some bigger ones in storage I will be able to use just in case!
