Hey guys
I have had 2 new red eyed tree frogs for the last week and a half. They are both very small, roughly around 1.5cm. They are in an exo terra 30x30x45 that has a waterfall, a mister for humidity (mist twice a day), humidity ranges from 75%-90%. The temprature in the tank is 25-28 in the day and 20-22 in the night. The tank is heated by a heat matt on the side of the tank. All the conditions seem fine for the little guys and they are demonstrating normal behaviour by sleeping in the day and are active at night. I have very small crickets to feed them and I have been putting them in a glass container so I can monitor their feeding habbits. They have not eaten anything in a week and a half.
Should I be worried or is there anything anyone can suggest?
Many thanks
Jon.
Hi Jon!
Can you try flightless fruit flies? They are nice and small. My baby loved them. Do you have the sides of the tank covered. Sometimes covering the back and two sides of the tank will help them to feel secure. See if you can keep your humidity between 70 to 80 %.
Have any pictures of your new babies and their home?
