Yep, cut the pieces to bit size. You can still use the calcium and vitas on them. Get some long tongs. Wiggle the pieces in front of him with the tongs. Ivoryreptiles calls it the zombie dance . It may take him a few times before he gets it. The trick is getting the worm to wiggle. They like moving prey .
