This topic is about feeding a Whites Tree Frog;
*Worms
*Snails
*Slugs
Hey, So ever since I have been 6 me and my sister had pet snails (garden) And last year I had loads and they eventually bred! And I was wondering if I could culture snails for my Whites Tree Frog?
Here's a list on why I want to have them
Crickets:
*Mine ALWAYS smell of cheesy bio
*Mine some how die all the time (Their housed in a ice cream tub)
*I have never had cricket eating animals before, so I'm not very good at keeping crickets
Snails:
*Easy to "gutload" (Or easy for me)
*Don't smell bad (From my experience they never smell bad)
*Don't have to chase them around the room when you accidently drop it (Or when your stubborn frog whacks it from the tweezers because he isnt hungry -.-)
*They're free!
So can you tell me if i can have them as a staple diet mixed with compost worms (healthier than ones from the ground) And Do i have to de-shell them? Or if they're the babies with soft shells will shandy be safe with eating them with the shell on (the baby snails not adult snails)
Here's a picture of the snails i mean;
