I have a White's tree frog vivarium that has been setup for over a year now and it is developing yellow dots/spores of mushroom things in the soil. I am not sure what this is or when it started to develop, and I am asking if it is safe to keep and means that my vivarium is healthy before I attempt to remove it. My single housed frog is not sick and is perfectly healthy as of now. He never really is on the soil and is always on vines/ water, so not much contact is figured to be ocurring. What is this and should I do anything about it_ if so, what.
Description: Vibrant yellow spores and one developed mushroom. The spores are scattered on top and among the interior of the dirt (eco earth). It appears to be growing in the shaded areas (as fungi usually does).
