    Default organic hydroponic CocoTek mats

    I ordered these small hydroponic coco mats.
    CocoTek Hydroponics Wheatgrass Growing Mats | 10 Pack

    What do do you thinK ?
    Lots of possibilities.

    -a layer in substrate ie instead of screening?
    -mounting plants ? moss? orchids ?
    -filler for backgrounds

    It's very soft , pliable about 1/4 " thick

    wow....just plain out freaking WOW!!! as far a the cocotek mat goes....me likey. it's almost like eco-web. and you are right, the possibilities for it are almost endless btw Lynn....i got 2 new friends tonight. 2 RETF's i put them in their quarantine bin before i could take pics (my phone died). i saw them at petco. the only 2 they had. i'm guessing had left, because they were marked down from $59.99 to $19.99. and they appear to both be sub-adult to adult. they are around 3". they are going to go into my white's old enclosure. he got a new smaller home today since i ransacked his home last night and re did it. i got him a smaller home since a 60g tank was a bit large for one frog

    3" - sub adults- Hmmmm don't know ? 3" is long for a sub adult.

    Oh....i was guessing on the size. Still getting used to determining ages on frogs. I'm guessing 3" is adult? Anyway, i like the idea of using the coco mat under the substrate. It would also be a cool replacement for paper towels in quarantine bins. Although i'm thinking it might harbor too much bacteria for that.
