    Question Green Pacman...

This guy (or girl?) is at a pet shop near me and I was undecided whether to pick it up or not. The pet store is asking $29.98 (Basically $30) for it. What do you all think?

Looks healthy, but being on those wood chips is a disaster waiting to happen. I would check to see if the frog has any hard lumps on its right side before deciding to buy. If he seems ok and you do decide to get him you would be doing the frog a favor and most likely saving its life.

The colors look very nice and the pattern looks symmetrical. $30.00 Is a little high for a juvenile Cranwelli, but I would probably buy him.

Nice frog. If I found that one, I'd buy it. I love the black stripes.

GET IT, so pretty! in Canada ( at least in AB) the most common baby cranwelli would be 50$ minimum in stores 30$ - would be considered for free

I could NOT refuse that cute little "take me home, please" face! Matter of fact, after seeing the picture of this adorable guy/gal I am trying hard not to find the pet store and get him myself

Great colors on this cranwelli! And yeah, the wood chips are terrible.

I knew the wood chips were terrible. He is being kept in a rather small round-ish plastic Kritter Keeper type container with the wood chips, some moss & a giant water bowl taking up most of his/her space. If I get up in enough time before I go to work then I will go pick the guy up and post more pictures.

Ouch, this post makes me hurt inside. I also live in Utah and can get them for better prices than that. Which store are you going to?

I'd be tempted to pick that frog up too, kitten. It has some nice markings and honestly, $30 for a pacman frog at a family run pet shop isn't too bad. Especially if you're going to spend $15 in gas driving to an expo. The petshop by me sells pacman froglets for $40.. It's terrible that they're keeping him on wood chips though, I'd give him a good inspection before purchasing.. I saw a pacman at petsmart just recently kept the exact same way, wood chips. I just sighed and walked away, although I wanted to buy him just to get him off the chips. Can't save them all though.

I baught my frog for $30 too. its a reasonable price I think. He looks healthy just those wood chips are a death sentence if he decides to chomp on one by accident.

Yeah I was working at the expo for J. Mugleston's exotics. We're based out of Provo. We're not breeding horned frogs yet, but hopefully within the year.
