    Question mixing different darts??

Hi everyone I am new here and planning out a viv that I would like to start soon. I really like the leucs as my first frog and I have read that auratus are good as well. My question is for a 10g viv can I put 1 leuc and 1 auratus? One other question. Should I get a 10g vertical or 10g horizontal?
    Thanks!

Boy, you asked that loaded question....lol i'm sure you're gonna get an earful from others, but the short of it is that s frowned upon by the dart frog community. Leucs will be happy with either a vert or horizontal tank, auratus will be more happy with horizontal. If you want to keep 2 in one tank, go with the leucs, they are known to live happily in groups.

Indeed it is a loaded question. It's very frowned upon to house different species together. So, in short, NO it's not wise to house two different species of darts. Leucs make great first time Darts, so I would go with them.

There was a really interesting thread on another forum about housing species together that could not breed, such as mantellas and dendrobates, but basically the consensus was that housing them together could ultimately cause death due to territorial disputes. Easier to just keep vivs as single species. Why take a chance?

Well.. Happy to see that the "loaded" question (sorry about that) was answered and so easily put! Thanks! I guess I'll be going with 2 leucs on my first viv super excited. Too bad the Columbia show isn't until November.. Thanks again!
