The tank was meant to be for Vampire crabs but after problems getting them in my area I started looking at alternatives that would appreciate the low water and land section and wouldn't get too big for the tank, and that was when I found out about FBT's I've never owned anything other than fish and Crayfish before myself but we do have a Tarantula and a 6ft Corn Snake in the house as well.
4 FBT's on total still haven't decided on names for them yet they each have there own personality though.
great setup
I wish I could tell my FBTs apart, apart from the male, he's thinner and the only one barking at night and mounting the chubby probably? females. He's also the one that will use even the tiniest opening in the lid to escape. It's a good thing I naturally observe the ground before I step (possibly a holdover from Afghanistan...) or I might have squished him by now.
I have 2 I can't tell apart and 2 others that are easy to spot I could see one was a bit bigger when I went to collect them and he's now gone a bit darker Green after hiding for the first day also have one that's a bit smaller and brighter Green gave them there first feed today and they ate all but 1 cricket that drowned within 15 minutes
Caught what I think are the 3 males having a meeting you can see the difference in color of the bigger one where as yesterday he was this color

I'm def gonna be getting some strong stemmed plants for them tho It was nice watching them climb up them till they snapped alot of them the land section has been fine water plants are getting a bit of abuse though lol.
When I was feeding them today one toad appeared to get his mouth round the head of another toad whilst it had a cricket in its mouth is this dangerous do they have small teeth or anything that can do damage when they do this?
really enjoying owning them so far feeding them is the best time to watch they go into hunt mode
