Question How to make electrolyte filled- substance for frogs/toads?

I have a sick FBT and the only way I see of him getting better is through electrolytes to restore calcium and or/ relieve stress. I know Exo-terra has a product called "Electrolyte", and I want to make something similar or the same. I can't run to the store for another week or so, and I don't think my FBT can stand that long, so I need to make a substance similar to it. How do I go about this?

I'm not as experienced as most people here so I'm really only reciting what I've read on here. But I've seen unflavored pedialyte suggested as a soak to help restore electrolytes. I believe the ratio is 10 parts water to 1 part pedialyte. If you search the forum I'm sure you'll find results with specific instructions. And I'm sure someone who knows what they're talking about will answer you as well. Good luck

That is correct. Plain, clear, unflavored pedialyte should be mixed to a 1:10 part ratio with luke warm dechlorinated water. Soak for 15 minutes. If you've never used it, it is sold in the infant section of any Walmart or Kmart, etc. and in the kids medicine section at any grocery store.

You may also need to purchase liquid calcium. It is sold in the reptile section at the pet store. Reptaboost is a powdered calcium and nutrient supplement for sick and non-eating reptiles and amphibians. It is mixed with dechlorinated water to make a formula-like replacement. I would recommend having both on hand.

It will be easier to help knowing what symptoms your little guy has?
