So far I like what I have seen from Carolina Dart Frogs. -Lizardman- I'm not sure if I'll be at the show on Saturday or Sunday depends on my work schedule. I also read about the auratus. Are those okay to mix with leucs? I was thinking I would buy a 10g tank. I'm not sure if I should get the vertical or horizontal? The guy told me for 10g 2 big frogs or 4 small. Since leucs were small i was think 1 leuc and 1 auratus after I figure out if they can mix.

actually leucs are one of the larger darts. can they mix? it is definitely not advisable. darts are very territorial and the possible battle could have you left with one of your frogs deceased. if you want to keep a pair, go with leucs, they are well known to live in groups, whereas the auratus, not so much. a confirmed matched pair (M/F) would be fine. problem is when you start introducing more frogs, then the battles begin. if you want both breeds, build 2 tanks. like toad said, check out dendroboard and ask that question, then come back and tell us about the tongue lashing you get...LOL oh, and welcome!!!
