Smile I don't have any frogs yet...

My name is AJ I stumbled on this forum when I was researching a few species of frogs for an art project that I was doing, and the more I kept researching the better the idea of starting a frog tank started to sound. So, I came back and registered because there's a lot I need to learn before I feel comfortable picking out a species. I'm not new to keeping exotics, though! I'm excited to learn more about the hobby.

Welcome to the forum . You'll learn bundles here. Here is a nice starter article on choosing which frog is best for you. There are also great articles in the care articles section listed at the top of the page for when you decide which one(s) you like. The vivarium section has great tips and beautiful vivariums to get some ideas rolling. Enjoy!

Thank you! I appreciate the link. I almost spit out my coffee at, "Will a Pac Man frog eat my baby?"

    Lol!!!!!

Pacman frogs are awesome! I have 3. Though they are burrowed most of the time. They come in several pretty colors and are aggressive eaters...fun to feed . You will likely not see them during the day at all though.

African pixie frogs tend to do the same, but get larger and LOVE to eat. They are awesome also.

Both are housed alone and may attack roommates.

Fun frogs to watch during the day are actually firebelly toads. They are energetic and love to hop around their tanks and love to swim. They are best housed in groups in a tank with both a land and water area.

Darts are beautiful and love a nice rainforest floor vivarium.

There are several tree frogs, other terrestrial frogs, and also African clawed aquatic frogs. So many to choose from .

welcome to the forum, so good to see people researching first and then getting a frog! keep in mind thou that it is very rarely that people have just one frog, it is very addictive

you are doing amazing job with necklaces by the way!
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

When I worked at a pet store it was always heartbreaking to see people purchase pets on impulse - seeing how most of those purchases played out only ingrained the research before buying mentality even more. Thank you for the compliment on the necklaces
