It looks like a baby bullfrog. I keep and breed both regular and albino bullfrogs. I also keep northern green frogs which look similar except they have a ridge on both sides that go all the way down the back. However bullfrogs lack that ridge. They do have a little ridge behind the eyes over the ear. From those pictures I say bullfrog.

Edit to add that bullfrogs also have bigger eyes and a more rounded nose. Most green frogs keep their pattern however a lot of bullfrogs will lose the spots and striped legs as they age. There is no way to tell if your frog will keeps it's pattern or not.

Also I agree that baby is way too skinny. Babies need to eat everyday. Only feed insects that are as wide as the with of the mouth or the space between the eyes.

The ridge is there and visible in the second picture. It goes partways down the back which is enough to make it a Green frog, with an outside shot at being a Mink frog. Though the leg pattern makes Green more likely.

I can see the ridge better now that I'm on my computer and not my little laptop. It also appears to have a messed up nose. It could be a northern green frog.

    Here's one of my juvies:

Here's the same frog as an adult:

Hi everyone! I think the mystery is solved, I'm also thinking after following some of your leads that this little one is indeed green frog (Lithobates Clamitans Melanota). I think she/he is too skinny as well, but those photos are from the first day we found her. She is settling in and seems a lot more calm even though it's only been a few days. My dilemma is more about what to feed her now. I feed my tree frog crickets, wax, butter worms..but I no longer live in Toronto and the local pet stores here only carry small/medium crickets not pinhead crickets so I search out the tiniest ones I can. There are no stores locally (or in about a one hour range from me) that has flightless fruit flies. I'm sure there re some local amphibian owners who culture their own, but I don't know any. We don't have petco in Canada : ( Petsmart carries, crickets, (only s/m or large, wax, meal and super worms but that's all...Should I try online? But the whole USA/Canada thing is usually complicated with animals/plants etc. I'm not even sure if it would be kinder to let it go into one of my ponds this spring or if a green frog makes a suitable pet. My experience is limited to white's tree frogs and grey tree frogs. What do you think?

These are the photos I found online... I have to say I'm pretty sure this froglet is green frog (Lithobates Clmitans Melanota) Thanks everyone for the insight. Now, I hope I can fatten her/him up a bit.

I ordered my flightless fruit flies online. I just bought a bunch of them and didn't culture them as the frogs grew so fast they were on crickets in no time at all. Green frogs are a pain to keep as are bullfrogs. You have to really want to care for them to keep them. They eat a lot. As an adult they eat a lot. I can buy 50 crickets and they are all gone within a week. I would keep it in at least a 20 gallon long tank by itself. One fourth of the tank needs to be land area with a substrate the frog can burrow in if they wish. The rest needs to be water as these frogs love to hang out in the water. I put little rock platforms in the water they can sit on. Mine rarely use the land area.
