    Default Computer cooling fan

I want to put some computer fans in some ten gal vertical tanks that I am planning on making. But I want to know which ones are the best to buy, and how to wire them to where they can plug into a normal wall socket.

heres the link to the one I was wanting..

with what ive experienced that fan for a ten gallon tank is way to big. im using 1 small 2 1/2in fan in my 50 gallon vertical and it kills my humidity with prolonged use. it might be ok setting that fan on a timer to circulate air for 10 min or so a few times a day. but if you plan on running it all day it might not be good. not this is also dependent on how much ventilation you have.

for installation and power, i used an old 12v power supply i had laying around. they sell them in any general store where you can toggle the voltage and it has different plugs and such. the female end of the plug has 2 internal prongs(positive and negetive). when you get your fans they will have a positive and negetive sticking out of them...just find a way to secure them into the female end of the plug

you can also use an old phone charger if you have one laying around. just make sure the specs match up. voltage, frequency and amperage need to match up. and don't forget, dc voltage motors can spin in both directions. it all depends on your polarity when you wire it together. if it spins the wrong way, swap the wires over.

And I found a smaller fan that may work better.. What do you think?
