Hi all...
Just sharing some of the setups i have done and experimented with
The first tank has just been set up for Dendrobates tincs... but the nasutas went in for a joy ride first
The second tank is for my RETF...was completed in April 2012
Now it looks over grown and much more messy...i was using cheap HOT5...china made stuff...wasnt good at all
The plants sprout long leaves and many plants are not doing so well...guess i have to go do proper shopping again
There goes my piggybank
This is a snapshot of part of the tank i did for my fishes...its a 4ft tank
Needs heavy maintenance...freaks me out with the cleaning...Algae bloom drives me nuts
As for construction...i love foamsi prefer Soudal for background and custom fabrications and Great Stuff (Black) for the Pond section because Soudal is much harder and have a better texture compared to Great Stuff foams and the Great Stuff (Black) foam because...i don't have to do so much detailing with it for the ponds
I am very lazy at that
Thanks guys
very nice. your last tank is just beautiful
Very pretty.

hey, these tanks are crazy, they look like somethin right out of the wild they must of taken a lot of work, nice job. im in the middle of deciding how to rearrange my 10gal. its pretty unilevel and i dont feel like im making much use of 70% of the tank. Id like to add some height to the landscape to give my FTBs somethin new to climb and look at but i wana make it myself instead of buying more scenery. have you ever used PVC piping or give me some other options to brainstorm with?
ALSO, i saw u have some fish at the bottom of tank 3, id love to add other species with my FTBs. i know theyr semi-poisonous but do you know of a species of fish or other aquatic animal that could tolerate them AND not eat them?
Hi Jay,
Sorry for the long delay...we had some problems with the rescued Red-Eye Tree Frogs...was busy the whole week babysitting them...only managed to save 3 from the disease...very expensive
Anyways thank you for liking our tank.
We built the first tank...in about 4 effective days
The water feature was built from real rocks by hand...we took about 3 days on tuning the waterflows
Yeah we do use PVC pipes...we use to support the plate above the false bottom...that's about all
The third tank does contain fish...it was build around having kids walking and viewing the fishes from all angles. As the glass has been lowered, the frogs will get out though, so there's only fishes in there.
oh thats a shame man, you cant save them all, u made an impact on 3 frogs lives im sure theyr greatful! thx for the insight i had no idea how involved tanks can get before i joined the sight. Oh its a fish-only tank ok. well all the tanks look great + i realy like the waterflow over the rocks thats really neat. i hope they dont have u take out a loan for the upkeep
I hope they do too...looks like its a dude and two chics from the markings they show...
Yeah we wanted something different in the office so we made one fully interactive divider rather than just a plain wall or cabinet.
The waterfalls doing fine...the ferns above have started to grow out the water areas and in a while, the algae growth will be gone...
We made the whole setup a modular one...well all the tanks that we built are modular...
Gave the M.nasutas to a friend as its stabilised and he will handle the legal paperworks better than us
Azureus will stay there in a short while and we will be making one more tank for some varaderos...and possibly ventrimaculatas in a while...a standy tank is ready too...hand made foam treesi hope it turns out realistic or we might as well close shop
lol
Well a little more photo update...this is my Tinc tank the frogs aren't here yet so i guess i will let the tank grow in a little...
Finished this tank in 2 days...best record time for me
Now on a rush to finish up another 2 more tanks for the 2 more types of darts
Your tanks are incredibly beautiful! Shoot, I wanna live there!![]()
Thanks for your kind words
Well we are having some local problems now...the wildlife department has blocked my shipment of darts from coming in...rats
Best part is that they have no proper explanation to why they do so...we are gonna push them harder. Its silly to ban imports without good answers at all...
they just said u cant...why ? because we say so... :\

Just finished two more tanks for my imitator and ventrimaculatas that would be arriving this 23.
All hyped up to receive them as this is (well i dare to claim that it is) the very first time Ranitomeya is being brought into my country
Havent the time to name it...but my friend wants to call it Brom's reflection :\ sounds cheesy i guess. I opted more for The imitator as a name for the two tanks as they are almost the same imitation of one another
Maybe "Lyagushatnik" which means a place for cute little frogs in russian![]()
Very cool
Sent from my RM-845_nam_vzw_100 using Board Express
Finally got my darts...
And here are the inhabitants of the last setup i showed

Wow, I hope I can build paludariums this nice at some point, nice job!
