My one year old white's is eating well, but he has started to lose weightHe is way too small and skinny for his age.
He has also always been a very green frog, but lately he has gotten this darker color that doesn't change even when I change the environment.
Any advice?(I sadly don't have any vet that treat frogs)
I forgot to mention that there was also some shed left on his leg yesterday. It hasn't gone away over the night.
If he has been eating well, but loosing weight...then I would suspect parasites.
Hi,
Sorryyou little friend is sick. He does look thin.
It's best to get him to a vet and have a fecal done. They will check his stool for parasites.
Get him treated right away; and he will be ok! Keep an eye on his appetite.
Give him plenty of dusted feeders.
Has something changed in the enclosure, food, tank mate?
If you want to send me the city in which you live. I will find you a vet !!!!! because there must be one.
Simply contact a Sweedish herp association and they will help you.
Call a nearby zoo. Gotta do it ! Sorry![]()
If he has parasites....he will be stressed.......not eat ....and , sadly, will fail to thrive if he is not treated.
Cover three sides of his enclosure , don't handle him unless necessary, and keep him in a really quite spot.
The shed: You could give him a honey bath/ he could be weak and was unable to push it off with the other leg.
I'm sure you know ......... not to try to remove it. It will come off with a soak.

I have a grey like that, I don't think quite as thin as yours. But sh'e been thin from the start I usually give her extra food here and there. But I have to agree if she is losing suddenly and still eating the same it sounds like parasites.
Update*
I found a small clinic and was there with my frog yesterday. They couldn't find what the cause of his weight loss was, but we'll try and start treating him with flagyl and axilur, and see if it'll have any effect.
He is still active and eats, so I'm keeping my hopes up![]()
Did they do a fecel exam... if you didn't bring poop in with the frog they might not be able to see if it is parasites...
LOOKING GOOD so happy for the little dude
