    Default Housing Multiple Pacs?

    Hi all!

I know many of you have multiple Pacs and was wondering how you house them. I have seen many people house them in Sterilite type plastic bins and such, but was interested in something a bit more for display purposes.

I was thinking of purchasing something like a 20 gallon long aquarium and divide it half to house two Pacs. Does anyone do something similar, or have suggestions?

    Thanks!

That might work.. As long as your divider is sturdy and water proof. You don't want water leaking from one side to the other and contaminating the others side incase of sickness or anything else. It would prob be easier to just go ahead and do 2 ten gallon tanks. Ive got over 20 frogs with more on the way so I use the Rubbermaid drawers. They're a good size, they keep the humidity in well without being sealed so they have ventilation. They are also super convenient for feeding, cleaning and what not.. They just slide right out.

What do you use to heat those drawers Bart?

I have all of my frogs in a big closet with a space heater that keeps them at 81-83 during the day and 77-78 at night. Its a really good setup for me. I used to use heating pads for each enclosure and had a Hell of a time with keeping things consistent.

Alright well that makes sense. I was thinking that it would be a bit of a pain unless you had something like a space heater. Thanks.

Hi Bart - thanks for your reply!

I agree with the water tight divider. I was thinking of using a piece of cut glass and seal it with aquarium sealant as a divider. I did something similar to an aquarium a while back with a small piece of glass to separate a land and water side for some FBTs. It worked pretty well.

I think I'll just use your suggestion of having two different enclosures. My current Pac is being treated for parasites right now and having two in the same enclosure, with a solid divider, could still cause spread of parasites or illness like you mentioned. It might be safer to keep them apart.

I read how you heat them - how do you control humidity and day/ night cycles? Or do you not worry about the cycles?

    Thanks!

I have my lights on timers. I keep a late schedule so to make sure I have time to mess with them while their lights are on I have them come on at 2 pm and off at 2 am. I also mist 3+ times a day and that keep s the humidity at 70+.

I have a 20 gallon tank that is 30 inches long and I split it into four sections for each pacman so it is possible
