the internet is a great place for information on breeding nightcrawlers. all I can tell you is they like it cold and its not that hard if you have the right conditions and schedule. it is somewhat difficult to start up because you have to understand pH and how to change it.

Is there any reason why you couldn't use red wigglers (are they okay to feed to frogs?)? I've found them to be pretty easy to get going. I started with 1000 worms to get a tub going for my puffers and they just seem to keep themselves going as long as I don't deplete the colony too quickly.
