Thread: Temp guns

    Default Temp guns

Can you guys tell me about these? Are the infrared the ones to get? Are they more accurate than the Exo Terra digtal probe thermometers?

Also, do they measure the air temps, or just surface temps? And do they make any that also measures humidity?

    Thanks a bunch!

the temp gun i used was just surface temp. why not just use a thermometer to measure your air temp?

They are fairly accurate, but as stated above, only measure surface temp. I have a couple in my toolbox at work. And i have never seen one with a humidity probe

they measure surface temp. I have one and use it in conjuction with a temperature probe just to check out different areas of the tank. I think it's a good tool to have
