So I have been watering my frogs cage daily, I added some moss about a week ago but now there is mold growing inside. My husband says its because im watering it too much and there is no where else to put him except on my desk which is in front of a window. He says that the mold will grow there because the sun hits the window for a good portion of the morning and afternoon. The temperature inside doesn't go more than 85 degrees and at night isn't less than 65 degrees so im guessing that's not too bad. I had problems with mold in his cage before (white fuzzy stuff im assuming is mold) My husband cleans it out since im allergic to mold. But now it's getting on both dirt and moss. Its also turning his clean water a weird green color after two days, I am thinking since he has moss water will have to be changed daily which is fine with me he hates his habitat messed with especially when I put new stuff in it. I am trying to build up to putting hidy holes in there but he didn't use them before when i tried and would scream (shrieking frogs are kinda funny) but it gets annoying.
Anyways any ideas? I use the stuff specifically with frogs on it, it's a natural dirt with frog moss He loves both sub straits but im not sure what to do about the mold. Some times when it's hot outside his tank gets foggy and runny like a rainforest, my room is air conditioned and i have a fan on almost all the time. Any ideas?
Edit: My frog is an Ornate Pacman Frog, I forgot to put that before lol. Might be helpful.
