So I just got a red pacman from ivoryreptiles at this weekends EXPO and it is about the size of a nickel. Well it doesn't want to take food from the tongs. I offered the smallest crickets from petsmart because its the only thing I think is small enough for the pacman. Any suggestions on feeding it?
I also picked up 3 other pacmans that are larger and they have all eaten. Just having trouble with this small one.
Just leave the food items in with him for a little bit. He may be a shy eater.
I tried that but he is unaware of the crickets since he has been submerged in the substrate. Should I try moving him back to the deli cup I bought him in and leave crickets in the cup with him?
I would probably let him be in his enclosure for a little bit, if you just got him, to adjust. He may be stressed because he's been shipped and now in a new place. I'm sure he will be okay for a few days without eating.
Ok I will try that. Thank u
So I put him in the deli cup along with some crickets and he seemed be hunting them. I will probably leave him there till he grows a little more
SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE!!!
Just got home!! Chris, we told you that they were raised on the earthworms and showed you how to cut the worms to the appropriate size for them. Make sure the bit of worm is no longer than the length of the frog SVL. The crickets will take a little time to introduce them to because the legs kind of freak them out! We are home now, so please contact us with any questions!! Our phone numbers are also on the business cards!!
No problem at all. I will try and cut the worm that small. It's gona be a really small cut though haha
