you left out the water right? even over night? not just in your room?
you left out the water right? even over night? not just in your room?
Many years ago, one of my four fire belly newts (newts, not toads) escaped from its aquarium. Its whereabouts remained a mystery until one day several years later when we were in the process of replacing the refrigerator in the kitchen. Lo and behold, we discovered its dry remains underneath it. Had we not replaced the refrigerator when we did, we might not have ever discovered what happened to it.
More recently, I owned a fire belly toad with a penchant for escaping. Since her vivarium was located in the basement, I was able to locate her in the same exact place every time she went missing: the sump pump.
It seems like the first thing a displaced amphibian will do is locate a source of water or moisture.
Hopefully your fire belly toad isn't trapped somewhere they can't escape from without help (like mine was in the sump pump). If I were you, I would keep making water dishes accessible on a daily basis while searching through things or rooms that contain water or moisture. Consider refrigerators, sinks, bath tubs, dehumidifiers, toilets, laundry rooms, and sump pumps.
Good luck with your search. I really hope you find her.
lil tubs of water are out and i havent seen hershe might be gone :'(
constantly check in, under, around, behind, toilets, sinks, fridge, laundry machines, dish washer, pipes, windows... if they are drawn to natural light... dark areas like closets if not...
no signi think i have to accept that shes not coming back

same happened to my first toad i had some fine leading to the top and my lid wasnt very heavy and had pushed it up and escaped. She had escaped before and was in the same place as the time before. But this time she wasnt i left water all over the place and i gave up after a week as there was no signs of her.
