I posted a thread about one not being able to swallow his skin. It seems to have swallowed most of it but he is not eating he looks very skinny now and hardly opens his eyes. Now my other blue dumpy is sick, but he looks bloated, not opening his eyes and his tryphens look infected. They have white dots the size of salt and look red and swolled (infected) I am including pictures. I can't find a herp vet using google. Should I just call a regular vet maybe they can refer me to one? I have three white's one is a large female she is regular the others are blue they are the only ones with problems. The lighter green one i have had since he was little bitty. I have always had frogs and I have never had them get sick in any way I feel so awful! Is there any medicine for this I could buy at a pet store?
Make sure the sick ones are seperated immediately from the healthy ones immediately. Get them into quarantine!
Clean the tank with the healthy ones ASAP.
Call all local Vets to ask if the take frogs or know who does.
Try honey baths I read they help with impactions yes but also have antibacterial quality.
I don't see any pics?
Yes, a vet is in order, and YES quarantine the sick frogs immediately as Rae has advised.
A regular vet should be able to direct you to a vet experienced with amphibians.
Sadly, once they are sick, time is of the essence. Don't wait until it's too late.
You could also try emailing dr,. frye. search the forum for his email.
