Help!!!! New on this forum. Injured garden frog!

Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this.
I went out in my garden and I found a frog on it's back on my path. I thought it was dead at first but then I noticed it was breathing so I gently flipped it the right way up but it seemed in shock. I gave it a light spray of water and after a bit it started moving. It was then that I realized that it couldn't move its back legs, sort of dragging itself by its front legs. Being a huge animal lover and having a bit of soft spot for any creature in distress I took it in and its now living in a plastic container. Closely looking at him (I call him a him but I really don't know) I think his back legs might be paralyzed as he still cant move them but I can't see anything else wrong with him. Really want to help this little guy. Is there a chance of survival or is it just best to put him out of his misery?

So many things can cause this and it is hard to diagnose without an x-ray and the attention of a vet that specializes in herps. I could be from shock or a spinal injury. It also could be caused by such things are infection and parasites.

If your willing to take on the financial part of attempting to save the frog then see a vet, if not then you can try to save him but without knowing the cause there is no way to suggest a path to try and help the frog besides a safe place to rest. If going that route, put wet paper towel on the bottom of the container (wet with dechlorinated or spring water) and mist it a few time each day.

Your also going to have to try feeding if your going to try and save him.

I put him in a small tank with a wet paper towel and gave him a spray. Looking at him today he seems much better, hes more alert and moving his back legs!!! I think he might have just been in shock. I'm thinking about putting him back out in my garden after. Is that wise? Or should I let him rest up for one more day?

Get some food into him, a worm cut in half would be nice
