I just got a new terrarium and i was wondering if i could use silicone and what kind should i use? Also i was wondering since part of the waterfall is going to be under water what kind of silicone should i use? The last thing i would like to know is where can you buy this silicone and the price
-Thanks
not to be rude but a simple search could of got you the answer
100% silicone
non toxic
they make several aquarium specific/safe silicone's. try asking at your local hardware store, there bound to have something
What Adam said, 100% silicone, at the Ace hardware near me there was just a sale, $3.99/tube of GE II silicone, usually I would expect to pay an average of $7 a tube if you include tax.
I have been using titebond 3 wood glue for my latest project. $5(us)/16 oz. It goes a long way, is waterproof after it dries, and best of all, if you get any bare spots, you can touch them up. Remember, silicone will adhere to almost anything, except cured silicone
So if you are using silicone, i recommend using the brown colored version for a couple reasons. One being you can see what you covered, the second being that if you miss any spots, at least it's brown and not clear, allowing the foam to show through.
