    my frog is about 5" and i heard him croak a couple times now but it is not a low bellow either. it is more of a sharp medium tone croak. it may be just because of his age i guess. my wife has not heard him yet but since the cage is close to our bed room she may not like it. but the frog is just way to cool, if he croaks every once in a while i am okay with that. if he starts calling all night long, like a spring peeper, then we will have to move the cage to another location.

    I'm aware of the true sound of the calls Grif It just seems like there's little information on these weird "non threatened" calls or sounds people sometimes hear, while their frogs are not being disturbed.

    Figure out a way to record the calls you are hearing.

    I wish I could, it's only been three times so far. They are very random. Two times i've been in bed at roughly 5-6 am.
