    Default attacking a mouse?

yesterday one of my baby snakes refused to eat her hopper (F/T), and everybody else who could possibly eat it were full already, so i figured instead of throwing it up i better offer it to my pixie, it would have been his first. The dude freaked out big time, all puffed out and started to attack it similar to the way they fight with other males in a wild, was very funny especially considering he is still a baby ( just over 3'). He didn't eat it, but obviously was very mad, I held the hopper by the tail with tongs and he was chasing and attacking it all over his tank. the mouse doesn't exactly look like another male, so was kinda confusing to see that behavior. anyone has the same experience?

Maybe he thought the mouse was too big to be food do saw it as a threat instead. Very funny though! They all have their own specific quirks to them!

i was thinking that it is also why they called bullfrog, apart from their mooooo..... cos it looked like a bull going for red, just horns missing )))) and my camera like always in the situations like this was dead

Be careful with live, a live mouse can bite/scratch your frog's sensitive skin and eyes. Just because the frog will win the batter, doesn't mean injuries cannot be sustained
