ok ive had my pacman frog for about a month now he was the size of a quarter when i got the frog now its about the size of a tennis ball cut in half i guess would be the best way to explain it lol. but ive noticed lately that he/she has been changing from a bright color to a light kinda pale color i dont know if its my light or not i dont keep a red light on the frog during the night because it can be stressful for them and the humidity is about 70-75 and the heat is about 80 degrees i have a thermostat on the very top and one on the very bottom and the one on the bottom reeds 72-76 at night it dont change at all. now when i go to bed hes pale like and when i wake up hes so bright its crazy and I dont know what to do.
he has bed a beast bedding and no moss with a very nice water dish that he fits very well in. he eats but no where near as much as he used to he slowed down eating once his/her color started to get pale and ive only noticed that in the month ive had the frog it took a poop once i move him from his sopt every 2-3 days because i dont want it to be in the same spot for to long absorbing what left overs the frog left there.
i take it as no one knows whats wrong with her? ill take a pic and put it on the site when shes pale looking and when shes bright
Does the frog eat regularly and how often do you feed it? Adult frogs tend to eat less often than young frogs since they don't require the same amount of food.
As for changing colour, these frogs change colour somewhat as they get older but also they can change rapidly (in a few minutes) if the background they are on changes in brightness/colour (such as when lights come on or go off).
Generally if a frog is eating regularly it's in good health.

oh shes a pig she loves to eat all the time ill throw about 7 or 8 crickets in it may eat 4 or 5 and the rest will run around and by the next day there all gone and ill put about 5 more in and the next day all will be gone shes pretty fat and round and im about to go get some waxworms or somethign new for her to eat i think she out grew the adult crickets it happened with the baby crickets.
thanks a lot for telling me about that i didnt know that they will change colors like that if its bright is that a bad thing ? maybe i should move the light further away its a 40w reptile light
The frog should be fine - they try to match their background colour so that might account for the sudden changes you're seeing.

yea ill do that.. funny thing really i was cleaning her off to take pics of her to show ya what color she is turning and she had a little fiber from the bedding in her little nostril and i pulled it out and it took a little bit to get it out now shes fine and back to her hungry pacman self. i also got this one stuff to dust my crickets with(FLUKER'S CALCIUM without vitamin d3) but i feed the crickets carrots and fish food this is alright isnt it?
Well, they need vitamin D to absorb calcium.
