My daughters dumpy is having some issues lately that are worrying us. A couple things are hapoens. None is he is sitting with his mouth open at times, he is sucking in his belly at times and he is missing his crickets. I thought maybe he could me molting? I'm just not sure that is it. He seems slower. Not climbing on the back wall anymore. I am going to purchase some calcium for the crickets as I hadn't been dusting them. I have read about the bone disease so will try that. My worry is that he wants the crickets and they go right in front of his face and he lunges, missing every time. They aren't even getting away. Nih's mou hits them but he doesnt suck them in. Mover and over. Any ideas.
the opening his mouth and sucking in sounds like shedding but that doesn't take to long too finish... was he doing this more than 5 min or so? My Greys are done shedding in like 2 or 3 min... Yes dusting crickets is ALWAYS important. You can also get Repti safe for tap water ... I add it to my rain water that I use to mist and bath them in just to add calcium and electrolytes to them as well. The missing his crickets I'm unsure what would be causing this sorry :/
Respiratory infection it sounds like. Get thine froggeh to a vet!
( thanks Frog keeps mouth open all the time?? - talk to the frog for the info.)
I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.
