So, I've never had a gecko, but he was so adorable sitting there in that tank, scotched right to the front to look at me and then tilted his head....I was done for , hence, now we have Melvin , my new day gecko.

Awww....Day Geckos are pretty cool. I've never owned one, but hope to one day. I love their red spots.

Me too . I love his blue eyelids too. He's funny! Quite an animated little fella. Hyper though, ha ha! He's fun to watch.

He seems to be very curious right now. He's been exploring his new home thoroughly. He likes the tops of the plants best so far.

His tank at the pet store only had one short plastic plant and a log hide. He was on the log when I picked him out. I got him a cave thinking he'd like to hide in it, but he prefers sleeping between the leaves as of yet.

He's adorable . His facial features and the way he tips his head when you talk to him make him look like he's smiling. Funny!

I can't tell if he's male or female yet. I got a pic of his underside but couldn't see close enough even in the pic to see if he has obvious femoral pores? Can anyone else tell?
