This Saturday evening I discovered my favorite frog Calypso was missing from the aquarium. I was frantic and turned everything over in my basement where the tank is. I could see her tracks in the dust behind the tank and knew for sure she had escaped. After spending a couple of hours looking I gave up. I figured there may have been a slight chance my dog found her.
After thinking about it over night I decided to tear my boys' closet apart in their room. Sure enough she was in the bottom of a small pox that had some clothes thrown in/on it. Best part is she is still alive. I have her soaking in a 5 gallon bucket with a few inches of water where she will be the next couple of days till I know she is good to go.
She was actually still some what moist, but cold when I found her.
I can't believe she got out. I think the recent additions to my group may have stressed her out and she sought more space... I am ordering some sponge filters because the HOB filter I have can't handle the water level being any lower.
I feel so lucky. I love that frog.
